Heard all the rave around the skin rejuvenation benefits of Alocuro PRP? – this injectable treatment involves the use of your own plasma, to naturally rejuvenate your skin!

What is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)?

PRP involves the injection of plasma (the liquid portion of our blood), into the designated area to rejuvenate your skin. Plasma contains platelets that are rich in a number of growth factors, including biologically active proteins that play a vital role in the regeneration of the skin.

PRP is derived from a small amount of your own blood that is collected, and is then ‘processed’ through a centrifuge which separates the various elements of blood, allowing for the capture of concentrated platelets which are then used for your PRP injectable treatment.

Alocuro PRP verse standard PRP Treatment

Unlike the standard manual preparation PRP kits, the Alocuro PRP treatment device, along with Alocuro’s evidence-based preparation protocol, will ensure that you achieve the results you are paying for.

Who is suitable for Alocuro PRP treatment?

The Alocuro PRP treatment is highly effective in rejuvenating the skin with very minimal downtime.

We recommend that you speak to one of our cosmetic nurses to find out if this treatment is suitable for you.

What to expect during the Alocuro treatment?

You will receive an initial consultation with one of our experienced cosmetic nurses who will provide you with treatment preparation recommendations.

Upon arrival, you will be asked to complete a Patient Registration Form which includes a health history questionnaire. Your cosmetic nurse and the supervising doctor will discuss your treatment plan with you.

Is Alocuro PRP Painful?

Upon arrival at our clinic, your cosmetic nurse will apply topical anaesthetic to the treatment area(s). A very fine needle is used to carry out this treatment and so it is usually well tolerated.

Potential Risks and Complications with Alocuro PRP treatment?

From having blood collected to injecting the face with needle(s), there is always a risk of infection, bruising, bleeding, and nerve damage, among other potential risks. However, potential complications associated with this treatment, are very rare.

Alocuro PRP uses components of your own blood and is regarded as a safe and effective treatment for achieving excellent aesthetic outcomes.

Alocuro has developed a proven protocol that is supported by our highly skilled and experienced cosmetic nurses and our supervising doctor.

Post Procedure Care

Following your PRP treatment, there may be some bruising and swelling for up to a week.

It is recommended that for at least 10 days following the Alocuro PRP treatment, that you cease the use of anti-inflammatory topical lotions or oral medication, as these medications may interfere with the treatment results.

As part of your post-treatment care plan, you will be provided with a post-treatment care sheet.
