Lower Face Filler Treatment Sydney
At Bella Plastic Surgery, we have developed a unique treatment procedure that enables filler to be injected to conceal a double chin and jowls to create a slimmer-looking lower face.
What is the procedure?
Filler is injected into the chin area, which has the effect of ‘dropping’ the chin and concealing the double chin. Once the ‘new’ chin has been created to thin and lengthen your face, filler is injected into the jawline to hide jowls and define the jawline. Before your treatment, a topical anaesthetic gel will be applied to alleviate any discomfort. Most individuals are surprised to experience very little discomfort.
How long does the procedure take?
Chin and jawline filler treatment generally takes one and a half hours, including 30 minutes to complete the patient registration form and receive a consultation regarding your treatment.
How long do the results last?
Our chin and jawline treatment is customised to meet the individual aesthetic goals of each patient and typically will last 18–24 months.
What is the recovery time?
Following the procedure, there is usually some transient redness and swelling, which will dissipate in a few days. Depending on the skin sensitivity of the patient, there may also be some bruising, which usually takes a week or two to clear. Makeup can be worn after the treatment, and we will recommend the best types of makeup to use.
Combining with other treatments
Your facial rejuvenation can be further enhanced when filler treatments are combined with anti-wrinkle treatments. Such combination treatments are often referred to as ‘liquid facelifts’.
