How many treatments will I require?
Your sunspots, freckles and ages spots will be completely removed during your first treatment. However, a subsequent touch-up treatment may be required if there is any residual pigmentation after the skin has healed.
Is the treatment painful?
The laser sunspot removal treatment if termed comfortable and is well tolerated by our patients. However, you will have the option to receive topical anaesthetic to numb the area being treated.
Treatment results
In terms of aesthetic results, the removal of your sunspots, freckles, and age spots, will be noticeable immediately following your first treatment. New skin will form in the treated areas and there will be some redness, skin crusting, and scabbing during the healing process. For several weeks your treated areas will continue to heal, and the scab will eventually fall off, leaving a red mark. This red mark is due to increased blood vessels that form to heal and repair the skin. In time, the redness will dissipate and the skin will heal.
